
Anna Dwyer, BNat, MNHAA
Anna is a university trained Naturopath, with a Bachelor of Naturopathy from Southern Cross University, Lismore.
Anna practiced at Sensible-Alternative in 2008 and successfully treated a number of key hormonal conditions including, PCOS, Endometriosis, thyroid disorders, menopausal symptoms, infertility, acne, period pain and PMS. She then diversified her experience with a year at Gould's Naturopathica in Hobart - one of Australia's oldest natural medicine apothecaries, established in 1821. There, she provided effective hands-on treatment for cold and flu, eczema, thrush, pre-conception care, depression, migraines, food intolerances, bowel disease, to name but a few.
Anna is the author of an academic paper entitiled, "Herbs other than St. John's Wort in the treatment of depression: A Systematic Review", under the supervision of Dr. Jason Hawrelak PhD (SCU), BNat (Hons) and Dawn Whitten BNat (Hons), which is currently in the process of publication.
Anna's Philosophy
Anna conducts thorough case-taking to ensure accurate assessment. She selects naturopathic treatments that are best suited to the individual, aimed at both alleviating symptoms and addressing the primary cause of illness.
Anna relies on evidence-based health information and uses only the highest quality herbal and nutritional supplements, as well as practical lifestyle advice which is both realistic and do-able. She encourages patients to claim responsibility for their well-being in order to achieve their full health potential.
